Couples Therapy
If you are looking for a couples therapist, then clearly you are trying to navigate roadblocks in your relationship that have either suddenly appeared or, more often, developed gradually over time and are now obstructing your shared journey. I can help you identify these roadblocks, understand where they came from, and work out how to remove them.
I will support you in learning how to find useful signposts, how to refuel your relationship’s engine, how to share the driving in a way that works for both of you, and how to visualise and then reach a destination you both share. Close, long-term relationships are not meant to be easy, but the work is rewarding and worthwhile, and I will be there with you every mile along the road.
I prioritise improving communication through self-awareness and curiosity about your partner’s feelings, desires, values, and more. Whatever is blocking you from open, honest communication with each other, I will help you identify and change.
I discourage blame and instead encourage a mutual commitment to self-reflection by uncovering hidden or buried material that needs to be brought out into the open.
The predominant goal in this work is to change what you do in conflict with each other.

Number of sessions
I generally ask for a commitment to six sessions in order to build a solid foundation for you to use going forwards with essential tools for ongoing growth in the relationship. I will always also hold a space to structure more blocks of sessions.
Where needed, we can move into open-ended work.
