Individual Therapy

Existentialism explores the reality of being human and how this can throw us onto challenging, often perplexing, sometimes terrifying, and unstable ground. We struggle to find freedom through personal choice. We sometimes wrestle with a lack of meaning or purpose in our lives. We try to bridge the isolation of being alone by building connections with partners, family, and others.

My role is to offer deep understanding of these struggles and to provide a reliable compass and trustworthy map to help guide you out of your despair, fear, rage, loneliness, or whatever it is you are facing.

I work with your past, of course, but I also focus strongly on the present moment: the right-now experience of being you. Together, we can rewrite your story.

Number of sessions

I generally work on an open-ended or long-term basis, as therapy is so often a ‘how long is a piece of string’ experience.
However, if you feel more comfortable working in a block of 10 sessions, I can also offer short-term work. I will always review things towards the end of the block and, where needed, open up the possibility of continuing.
